About Us
Located in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire; Blues Preschool & Nursery is highly regarded in providing high quality early years education for children aged 2 to 5 years old. Blues preschool is a registered charity and has been running for over 40 years.

Our preschool is bright, well-equipped and has a large, secure outdoor area for play and learning. Blues Preschool & Nursery aims to be a fun and nurturing setting for all of our children, where they can learn through play, form relationships and thrive.
We follow the Early Years Framework, (the statutory Government Early Years Curriculum which all schools adhere to), to offer our children experiences and opportunities in all areas of learning. This includes:
-
Communication and Language
-
Physical Development
-
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
-
Literacy
-
Maths
-
Understanding of the World
-
Expressive Arts and Design.

We are registered and inspected by Ofsted and achieved a rating of Good in all areas at our last inspection. You can read our last inspection report here. Since our last Ofsted inspection we have updated the structure of our charity to a CIO and the charity commission issued us with a new charity number.

We have a well-qualified staff team (including a Graduate leader and a Special Educational Needs Coordinator [SENco]) and aim to offer a staff to child ratio which exceeds Ofsted requirements.

We offer flexible hours including full day sessions (school day, term time). Your child may attend from between 3 and 30 hours a week (subject to availability).
